With the kids back in school, and the cooler temperatures outside, who isn't ready to decorate for Halloween. It is one of my favorite times of year, mostly for the decorations!
You can purchase these personalized, vinyl cutouts in our store at www.TinTreeGifts.com and apply to any festive decorations. In this tutorial, I applied them to craft pumpkins purchased from Hobby Lobby, but they can be placed anywhere. A cute addition to a front door or mailbox, or maybe inside on a plastic plate for display or a framed piece of glass.
You will receive your vinyl on a piece of craft tape in order to apply it to you decoration. In addition, you will need a pair of scissors, a credit card, and your decoration.
First, take out your vinyl and rub the credit card on top of it. This will ensure that the vinyl sticks to thetop sheet, so you can remove the backing and apply to the pumpkin. Cut out the shapes in order to arrange them on the pumpkin.
Begin to peal the back layer off, leaving the vinyl onto the top pice of tape. You will need to do this carefully, and may need to stop and repress the vinyl onto the top. When the bottom sheet is removed, place it onto the pumpkin (or whatever decoration you are using). Using the credit card, rub it gently onto the pumpkin. Once it is all stuck, begin to peel the top layer of carefully. You may need to go back over the vinyl with the credit card once you remove the top sheet.
Next, apply to remaining vinyl peices and repeat the steps above. When you are finished, be sure to share your projects with us!
